The Sunday School children meet each week on Sunday from 9:15-10:15am to hear Bible stories and have fun. The children all receive their own Bible to take home so that they can read during the week the stories that they hear on Sunday. All children ages 3 to 4th grade are welcome to join. Please consider bringing your child and staying for the Adult Bible Class held at the same time.

Christmas for Kids

This year's Christmas for Kids will be held on Saturday, December 12th beginning around 9am. Our theme is going to be "Christmas around the World." Kids should arrive with their parents around 9am. As the day begins, kids will go off to their appropriate classrooms, meet their teachers and start with some of their crafts. After everyone arrives, the kids and helpers will go into the gym to watch a puppet show about the nativity of our Lord. After that, the kids will have various activities to do such as singing, crafts, and games. At the end of the day, the kids will come together to put on a mini Christmas concert and to show their parents the crafts that they made. After the mini concert, the kids, parents and volunteers will gather together to have a wonderful lunch

Easter for Kids

Jesus is risen! This is the good news of Easter. We plan to share this wonderful message with children on March 27th in our first Easter for Kids program ever! We will have a special day planned for all kids ages 3 through 6th grade. We plan to use stories, games, crafts and songs to tell children the story of Easter to help them understand what makes Easter Sunday so special.

Parents’ Night Out

You might be wondering what “Parents’ Night Out” would have to do with Kids’ Ministries. Well in summer, we understand that times can still be hectic with all of the sports and camps going on continuously. This coming summer, we plan to let parents’ take a breather and get off the hook for a night or two away from the kids. St. John’s will be hosting several Friday evenings full of fun for the kids. Parents will be encouraged to drop off their kids at the school, while they get a night on the town alone. We will plan games, arts & crafts, story time and other activities for the kids those evenings.

Cradle Roll

Cradle Roll is an education, support, and encouragement program for young children of the congregation and their parents. Our goal is to encourage parents to train their children and nourish the faith they received through Baptism. It gives parents age-appropriate tools to carry out this privilege and responsibility of the spiritual training of God's gift of children.

Every child under the age of 4, who is baptized and a son or daughter of one of our members, is automatically enrolled into the Cradle Roll Program. The child and parents receive regular mailings every 6 months from birth up to the time the child is enrolled in Sunday School. Each mailing includes a 'Tips and Truths' tract to the parents, gift, book and an age appropriate Bible lesson.
