The Allen Temple A.M.E. Church Golf ministry was established in 1996 and has grown from a small group of Allen Temple members to well over 100 players from surrounding churches, businesses and Government Institutions.
All proceeds have been used to fund our college scholarship program for graduating high school students in both Cobb and Cherokee County. Scholarships are awarded based on grade point average, community service and interest in the church. God has blessed 30 plus young people with scholarship money to help pay for education expenses. Our young people are attending and have graduated from The University of Georgia, Georgia Tech, Duke, Miami Ohio, Boston University, Stanford and many more colleges across the nation.
The mission of this ministry is to increase and promote spiritual and physical growth by bringing people together in and outside the church walls with common athletic interest.
